There are two places I go to for good movie reviews. The first is of course lonecellotheory/ian/dcist,, the second is Pajiba ("Scathing Reviews for Bitchy People"). I often read Pajiba's reviews even when I know I'm not going to see the movie they're reviewing. Their reviews and comments are fucking entertaining. Pajiba just posted a review of Surrogates, which no surprise looks to be the shitty movie of the year. Anyways, the opening line of the review got me chuckling:
This film was much better than it looked from the limited previews, and as such ended up being far more disappointing than if it had just taken a dump on the chests of the audience. |

| i <3 my new neighbors |

Dude! My next door neighbors Virginia and Leo are kick ass! I couldn't be any happier with neighbors. Plus their dog is adorable and about to be puppynapped when they aren't looking. Anyways, Virginia cooks about every other night and invites me over for dinner frequently. Last night she made a pizza from scratch - dough, sauce, everything. Amazing. I even told Leo if he let her go he'd be an idiot. I don't think I've ever eaten this well. Virginia and Leo are also excellent companions and have great taste in music, movies and politics. What's more to love! Well, Virginia called me a couple seconds ago to give me all her animal product food. She and Leo have decided to go vegan after seeing this documentary (I told her to enjoy sitting on the toilet for the next few days). So instead of going grocery shopping, which I desperately needed to do, I went next door and she gave me chicken, pork, cheese, eggs, you get the idea. These people have won me over 100%. |

| Crying |

This is an interesting article on why we cry and whether or not a good cry is actually good for you. As a child I cried bucketloads. As an adult it seems the only things that can really make me cry is frustration, and sometimes sadness. Btw, I have a cold. Last night I took NyQuil. Normally it puts me to sleep for four hours and I feel fine. This time I had the weirdest dreams and was talking in my sleep. I woke up not feeling refreshed at all, but drugged. I went back to bed for another couple of hours and had the deepest sleep I think I've ever had. I felt like I slept 10 hours. My sinuses however are clear! |
